Cupisnique, Kaminaljuyu, and a Mayan Sculpture from Jaina

Stela 11 from Kaminaljuyu, Guatemala - very similar in style to Izapa, Chiapas which is on the west coast of Mexico near the Guatemala border.

Jaguar impersonator holding a serpent from Kaminaljuyu, Guatemala and 2 small jaguars from Cupisnique, Peru holding an anaconda - note similar iconography. The Peruvian culture is far older.

Jaina funerary sculpture of a ballplayer drawn as a self portrait - MJA 2003 acrylic and oil pastel on canvas.
